Its raining....
in Bangalore - thunder and rain - and, most of it from my nose!!! I am amused at how much of rainwater has gone and collected in my head. It isn't too bad, but it ain't any good either.
One thing I am dead against is crocin and its cousins - was glad when the doctor next to my house actually was busy and could not see me. So, I went ahead and tried some homemade remedies. I bought some dry ginger and hunted for a stone on which I could rub it and get the extract - finally I did get the paste out of it and applied it on my forehead to contain the watertank. Next step was to tackle the throat, for this, I used Samahan - an ayurvedic preparation. This, I mixed in hot water and had a glass after having rice with hot-hot sambar and rasam. I plugged my ears with cotton dipped in a mild balm. The nose had no option but to leak - so I let them be that way and just put some chinese medicine.
so, today, there is some calm after yesterday's storm...just that my left ear constantly reminds me of its presence by sending out a pricking pain once a while, left nostril is permanently blocked, head feels like a water tank that is just three fourths full and right now i'm croaking like a female frog!!! - call me ginger spice!!! ;-)
